AI4TheDisplaced™ · A Wouessi Initiative

Displaced from home, not destiny.

AI4TheDisplaced is a Wouessi initiative equipping displaced people and vulnerable communities with practical AI, digital and entrepreneurial skills to learn, work, create and participate in the new economy.

Displacement may change where you live. It should not determine where you can go.

Skills Opportunity Income Resilience
First Living Lab: Benue State, Nigeria
The Problem

Displacement shouldn't mean digital exclusion.

Millions of displaced people face disrupted education, limited employment opportunities and restricted access to technology and the digital economy. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming how people learn, work and earn.

Disrupted education

Displacement interrupts schooling and skills development at exactly the moment AI is transforming the economy.

Limited employment

Formal work is scarce in displaced settings, and pathways into the digital economy are rarely built for the people who need them most.

Restricted access

Devices, connectivity and digital tools remain out of reach, locking communities out of how people now learn, work and earn.

Without deliberate action, the people furthest from opportunity risk being left even further behind. AI4TheDisplaced connects displaced communities to practical digital capabilities and pathways into economic participation.

The Solution

Skills. Opportunity. Income. Resilience.

We do more than deliver training. We build pathways from learning to economic opportunity.

01

Skills

Practical AI, digital productivity, entrepreneurship, data, digital marketing, remote work and future-of-work capabilities.

02

Opportunity

Connections to employers, markets, technology ecosystems and digital work opportunities.

03

Income

Pathways into employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship and digital services.

04

Resilience

Stronger livelihoods, greater economic independence and the ability to adapt to a changing economy.

Our delivery model

1Select. 2Train. 3Certify. 4Place. 5Sustain.

Benue Living Lab

Our first proof of concept.

Benue State, Nigeria Pre-launch · Proof of concept

The AI4TheDisplaced Innovation Living Lab in Benue State, Nigeria, will serve as the initiative's first proof of concept.

The Living Lab will test how AI and digital skills, community engagement, employment pathways and entrepreneurship can be combined to create measurable economic outcomes for displaced populations.

Everything the Lab produces is designed to be evidence: what works, for whom, at what cost, and with what outcomes.

What we will measure

  • People trained
  • Youth and women reached
  • Training completion and digital competencies
  • Employment and income opportunities created
  • Businesses and digital services launched
  • Employer and market partnerships
  • Community outcomes and participant feedback

The road ahead

Benue Nigeria Africa Haiti

Benue is the beginning, not the destination. Evidence from the Living Lab will inform expansion across Nigeria, Africa and, ultimately, Haiti.

The Business Model

Impact that can scale.

AI4TheDisplaced is a commercially sustainable social-impact initiative. It is not designed as a traditional charity programme. The model combines measurable social impact with sustainable commercial and funding pathways.
